NTT DATA is seeking an AWS Data Architect to support customers in AWS Data Platform projects, partnering with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs and outcomes.

The role is a bridge between Data Science and Data Engineering, guiding design, governance and best practices while mentoring engineers on coding and problem solving. Location includes multiple Italian cities; join a global leader in technology services.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of AWS experience in cloud native environments.
• Experience with Big Data architectures, cloud and on premise.
• Proven AWS infrastructure and networking knowledge.
• Experience delivering proofs‑of‑concept to meet business needs.
• Experience migrating workloads from on premise to cloud.
• Experience monitoring distributed infra using AWS tools or open source tools.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python and shell scripting.
• Experience with Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse and related ETL/ELT tools.
• AWS Certification desirable (Solutions Architect and/or Data Analytics).
• Agile Methodology and Kanban experience.
• SQL language knowledge.
• Experience with source code management tools like AWS CodeCommit or GitHub.

Responsabilités

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture on AWS using native services or data management tools.
• Design and optimize data models on AWS stores such as Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, S3.
• Design operations architecture and perform performance tuning for large data lakes.
• Participate in client design workshops and provide tradeoffs and recommendations.
• Mentor engineers in coding best practices and problem solving.
