ENGIBEX, a Belgian engineering consulting firm, seeks an experienced Embedded SW engineer to specify, design, and implement software functionalities for automotive diagnostics. You will collaborate with SW V&V, System, and Application teams to build and maintain products, while contributing to test specifications and issue diagnosis.

We value >5 years of embedded experience, strong documentation, and fluency in English, with ASPICE and ISO26262/ISO21434 familiarity considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• >5 years of experience in Embedded SW development.
• Experience in Automotive SW development, Diagnostics.
• Strong understanding of embedded HW/SW systems.
• Familiarity with automotive software standards (ASPICE).
• Knowledge of software architecture principles.
• Experience with Vector Tools is a plus.
• ISO26262/ISO21434 familiarity is a plus.
• Bootloader design and HSM firmware knowledge is a plus.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to work in agile environments.
• Fluent in English.

Job Description

• Specify, design, implement, and document software functionalities.
• Work closely with the SW Verification and Validation team to develop test specifications and write test cases.
• Develop new software and maintain existing products.
• Collaborate with System and Application software teams to solve complex technical challenges.
• Assist in diagnosing software-level issues.

Profile / Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• >5 years of experience in Embedded SW development
• Experience in Automotive SW development, specifically in Diagnostics
• Strong understanding of embedded hardware/software systems
• Experienced with automotive software development standards (e.g., ASPICE)
• Good understanding of software architecture principles
• Experience with Vector Tools is a strong plus
• Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO26262) and Cybersecurity (ISO21434) is a plus
• Experience with VECTOR AUTOSAR stack is a plus
• Expertise in bootloader design and HSM firmware is a plus
• Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation
• Proficient in static and dynamic code analysis methodologies and tools
• Experience in agile development environments
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Pragmatic, proactive, and solution-oriented
• Organized and detail oriented.
