Atlas Copco in Wilrijk is seeking a Process & Automation Engineer to develop, implement, and optimize cutting-edge production processes and automation solutions. You will lead automation projects, define new assets, and manage timelines, budgets, and investments while integrating robotics and SCADA systems.

You will collaborate with operators, product development, and support functions to improve safety, quality, productivity and flexibility, using Industry 4.0 tools and dashboards.

Formación

• Master degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering (Electromechanics, Automation) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with PLC systems and HMIs; PLC programming knowledge (Siemens, Beckhoff) is valuable.
• Hands-on familiarity with industrial robotics (KUKA, FANUC) and SCADA or industrial protocols (OPC-UA, Profinet).
• Strong project management skills to independently manage scope, timing, quality and budgets.
• Affinity with machine connectivity and data analysis tools like SQL or Power BI.
• Professional communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Lead automation projects from concept to final care using Atlas Copco methodologies.
• Define and install new production assets, manage timelines, budgets and investment files.
• Coordinate PLC and HMI programming adjustments; integrate robotic applications.
• Drive machine connectivity and SCADA solutions; build dashboards to track performance.
• Support and optimize PLC-controlled production systems; evaluate emerging Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Report to the engineering team leader in a hybrid on-site role at Wilrijk.
