Help shape the factory of the future with collaborative robotics.
Your role
As an Automation Engineer, your responsibilities include:
- Investigating which existing or new applications can be automated using collaborative robots (cobots);
- Playing a key role from concept to implementation and supporting technical choices with a solid business case;
- Analysing manual or repetitive processes and evaluating whether they can be performed by a cobot;
- Preparing a complete technical and economic dossier per application, including:
- Feasibility
- Cost analysis
- Return on investment (ROI)
- Programming and implementing cobots;
- Helping to optimise and improve existing robot programs;
- Proactively identifying further automation opportunities within the organisation;
- Collaborating closely with operators, line supervisors, and other stakeholders.
Your profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical field (e.g. Automation, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, etc.), or you are equivalent through experience. Motivated graduates are certainly encouraged to apply;
- Experience with PLC programming is a strong asset;
- You are able to work with CAD software (ideally Creo);
- In addition to Dutch, you have a basic knowledge of French and English to communicate with operators;
- You have an analytical mindset, work in a structured way, and are able to substantiate technical decisions.
