AIG is seeking a full-time Underwriter in Belgium to manage a diverse Financial Lines portfolio and work with internal stakeholders to execute strategy. You will help ensure a profitable book, deliver timely reporting, and identify opportunities for growth.

You’ll engage with clients in Dutch, French, and English, strengthening AIG's presence in the local market while adhering to underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.

• Independently manage prestigious accounts in the SME sector as well as major accounts, providing exceptional service to AIG clients through technology-driven solutions
• Engage in a culture of continuous learning, utilizing various opportunities
• Drive growth by analyzing risks, issuing quotes, and underwriting assigned risks within the Financial Institutions sector, while collaborating with the team
• Adhere to compliance and underwriting guidelines, setting a standard for excellence in underwriting and promoting best practices across the team.

What We’re Looking For:

• Master's degree in (Applied) Economics, Law, or equivalent experience.
• A client-oriented mindset with a strong focus on service quality and delivering results the first time.
• A courteous, empathetic, and helpful attitude when dealing with both external and internal clients.
• Capability to foster a positive and productive team environment.
• Resilience in a fast-paced work setting, managing stress effectively.
• Fluency in Dutch, French, and English.
• An affinity for technology and a willingness to embrace new tools and solutions in the underwriting process.
