Approach Cyber is hiring an Application Security Consultant to join our security team. You will act as a Security Champion for our customers, driving Security by Design and Secure-SDLC/DevSecOps practices across projects.

You will guide development teams on applying best practices (OWASP ASVS) and security tooling (SAST, DAST, SCA), and help align security requirements with our IS policies and client needs.

Qualifications

• Requires significant experience in application security (5+ years).
• Fluent in English and one of French or Dutch; written and spoken proficiency expected.
• Experience guiding Secure-SDLC/DevSecOps implementations.
• Familiarity with security testing and tooling (SAST/DAST/SCA) and vulnerability handling.

Responsibilities

• Act as Security Champion for client projects and drive security by design across SDLC.
• Provide guidance on Secure-SDLC/DevSecOps practices and integration into development pipelines.
• Help development teams apply application security best practices (e.g. OWASP ASVS) and tooling (SAST/DAST/SCA/CVE follow-up).
• Ensure security requirements are identified and aligned with IS policies and best practices.
• Assist architects in designing secure components considering client context and available technologies.
• Contribute to SAMM Assessments and secure test planning ahead of production launches.
• Provide security support and lead training/coaching sessions for client teams.
