Melexis, a global leader in automotive semiconductors, is seeking an Application Engineer in Tessenderlo to act as the technical interface between Melexis and customers, focusing on the integration and verification of Inductive Position Sensor IPS ICs in customer applications.

You will support customers with IPS integration, review schematics and coil designs, validate new products, and perform lab testing and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, Mechatronics or a closely related field.

Act as technical interface between Melexis and its customers by supporting the integration of Inductive Position Sensor ICs with a focus on product definition, verification and application.

What are you working on?

Support customers in integrating Melexis IPS ICs and solving technical challenges in their applications.

Specifically, as an Application Engineer in Tessenderlo, your tasks will include:

• Support customers with the technical integration of Inductive Position Sensor ICs into their applications
• Contribute to continuous improvement of products, internal procedures and future developments
• Review customer schematics, PCB layouts and transmitter (Tx) / receiver (Rx) coil designs
• Validate new IPS products from an application perspective before release
• Perform laboratory work for testing, validation and troubleshooting of IPS solutions

What is your added value?

The ideal Application Engineer has/is:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, Mechatronics or a closely related field
• 2+ years of experience as an Application Engineer, Hardware Engineer, or System Engineer
• Knowledge of COMSOL, Python, LabVIEW or Altium Designer is considered a plus
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Strong communicator with a proactive mindset and strong team spirit
