COSMOTE Global Solutions NV is seeking an Application / Cloud Architect to join our ICT team. You will design, develop, and oversee application architectures and cloud solutions for clients, collaborating with project leaders, developers and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of systems.

The role requires 17+ years in IT, with 10+ years in Java, 5+ years in UML modelling and EC components (EU Login, EU Send, etc.).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field.
• 17+ years of total IT experience.
• 10+ years of Java development experience.
• 5+ years of UML modelling experience.
• 5+ years of knowledge of EC corporate components (EU Login, EU Send, …).
• Extensive IT developments and IT architecture experience.
• Clear written and oral communication; able to draft architecture decisions and compare multiple solutions.
• Excellent team spirit and collaboration skills.
• Ability to apply high quality standards.
• Ability to model UML diagrams.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to write clear, structured technical documents.
• Experience in international/multicultural environments.

Responsabilités

• Propose and document the architecture for the future Talent Pool, aligning reuse of existing components and building blocks.
• Ensure alignment between business needs and solution architecture through documentation, presentations and workshops.
• Review technical analyses by external IT development, support PM decisions and provide feedback on estimates.
• Review DG EMPL proposals for synergies with other IT systems and propose architecture options.
• Support Project Manager in IT developments and changes of architecture.
• Perform risk and issue analysis with mitigation paths.
• Interact with other architects, business analysts, owners, PMs and external development teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing application architectures and cloud solutions that meet the evolving technological needs of our clients. You will collaborate closely with project leaders, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Propose and document the architecture for the future Talent Pool, in alignment with the technical constraints of reuse of existing components and building blocks
• Ensure alignment between the business needs and the architecture of the solution, through documentation, presentations and workshops with the relevant stakeholders
• Review all technical analysis performed by the IT external development company, support the Project manager on the decisions to take, and provide feedback on the estimates
• Review the proposals of DG EMPL for synergies with other IT systems, and make proposals of architecture
• Support the Project Manager in all decisions related to IT developments and change of architecture
• Risk and issue analysis, propose mitigation paths
• Interaction with other architects, business analysts, business owners, project manager, external development company

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field.
• 17+ years of total Experience in IT
• At least 10 years of specific expertise in Java development
• At least 5 years of specific expertise in Knowledge in UML modelling (diagrams)
• At least 5 years of specific expertise in Knowledge of EC corporate components of architecture (EU Login, EU Send, …)
• Extensive experience of IT developments and IT architecture
• Ability to communicate orally and in written in a clear and efficient manner
• Ability to draft, improve and document architecture decisions, propose several solutions with pros, cons and risks
• Excellent team spirit
• Ability to apply high quality standards
• Ability to model diagrams in UML standards
• Very good communication skills with technical and non‑technical audiences
