Plainsight in Antwerpen, Belgium, is looking for a data analytics professional to build analytics layers using DAX and Power BI. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver insightful reports while ensuring your work is client-friendly.
The role requires strong skills in SQL, dimensional modelling, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric. A personal growth plan and competitive pay are included as part of the package.
You build the analytics layer on top of client data: semantic models, Power BI reports, Microsoft Fabric workspaces, the occasional Python or SQL transformation when the source data needs help. You work with stakeholders to understand what they're actually trying to decide, then build the report that gets them there.
The work is part data modelling, part visual design, part stakeholder management. We do all three.
Strong DAX and Power Query. Comfortable in SQL. Solid grasp of dimensional modelling (star schemas, calculation groups, row‑level security). Hands‑on experience with Power BI Service and ideally Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouses, Dataflows, Pipelines, OneLake). An eye for visualisation that's clear without being clever for clever's sake.
A baseline of coding skills and architectural thinking helps. You don't have to be a software engineer, but you should know what a clean codebase looks like and care about repeatability.
We code as agentically as we can. Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, whichever tool fits. Reports too: AI helps draft DAX measures, transformations, semantic model documentation. If you already work that way, great. If you don't yet, you'll pick it up here.
The goal is always something your client can extend on their own. We build for adoption, not lock-in.
Real growth, real ownership, and a team that geeks out about good data modelling without making it weird. Personal growth plan. Challenging work across industries. Competitive pay.
