Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Consultant - Advanced Analytics in Hyderabad to drive modernization and cloud transformation with hands-on analytics delivery. You will build semantic models and collaborate across App Innovation, Cloud Platform, and Data & AI teams.

With 6–9 years of BI/Analytics experience, you will craft Power BI dashboards, optimize dataflows, and contribute to AI-enabled analytics using MCP tools, Fabric data agents, and Databricks Genie, ensuring quality and governance across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years implementing technical solutions on Azure.
• 2+ years of experience in business intelligence or analytics.
• Strong hands-on Power BI with data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and semantic modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL for complex queries and performance tuning.
• Exposure to Fabric (OneLake/Lakehouse) and/or Databricks.
• Interest in AI-augmented analytics and MCP-based tools.
• Experience working with business stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Technical foundation in one Azure domain (App Innovation, Cloud Platform, or Data & AI).
• Demonstrated ability to execute tasks within application, cloud, or data domains.

Responsibilities

• Execute delivery tasks that support solution architectures and modernization priorities.
• Implement application, data, or cloud components based on established designs.
• Collaborate with team members across App Innovation, Cloud Platform, and Data & AI.
• Follow delivery frameworks, coding standards, and quality checks.
• Participate in design walkthroughs and apply feedback to improve execution.
• Design and build performant Power BI semantic models using DAX, Power Query/M, and star-schema modeling.
• Connect, transform, and model data from SQL Server, Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks.
• Apply data visualization and storytelling to make insights actionable.
• Build reusable dataflows feeding governed semantic models.
