Abakus IT-Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join a multidisciplinary Data & AI team. You will develop scalable ML solutions, working on anomaly detection, risk-scoring and classification models while collaborating with data engineers, analysts and domain experts.

The role combines advanced Data Science, Machine Learning and Azure Databricks with a strong focus on explainability, data quality, security and responsible AI.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, CS, AI, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning.
• Expert knowledge of Python and Machine Learning.
• Strong experience with SQL, Azure Databricks and PySpark.
• Experience with MLflow, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog and Databricks Workflows.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and MLOps practices.
• Experience with explainable AI, risk scoring and large-scale data processing.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, fraud detection or the public sector is an asset.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design, development and industrialisation of Machine Learning solutions using Azure Databricks.
• Develop anomaly-detection, risk-scoring and classification models using supervised and unsupervised techniques.
• Translate business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, architects and domain experts.
• Contribute to data and ML pipelines, feature engineering and solution integration.
• Work with Python, PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog and Databricks Workflows.
• Define model evaluation approaches focusing on accuracy, explainability and operational value.
• Apply security, privacy, governance and responsible-AI principles.
• Provide technical leadership, establish best practices and coach other team members.

You will work on large-scale data projects, developing anomaly detection, risk-scoring and classification models while collaborating closely with data engineers, architects, business analysts and domain experts.

Your responsibilities

Technical requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning or Advanced Analytics.
• Expert knowledge of Python and Machine Learning.
• Strong experience with SQL, Azure Databricks and PySpark.
• Good knowledge of anomaly detection, classification, clustering and risk modelling.
• Experience with MLflow, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog and Databricks Workflows.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD and MLOps practices.
• Experience with explainable AI, risk scoring and large-scale data processing.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, fraud detection or the public sector is an asset.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
