Projective Group's Brussels AI Competence Centre is seeking an AI Strategy & Use Case Lead to translate AI enthusiasm into tangible business outcomes for financial institutions, shaping responsible adoption of AI and GenAI in regulated environments.

You will identify high-value use cases, build business cases, define success metrics, and ensure ethical, compliant governance while guiding teams across strategy, technology, and operations.

Do you have the vision and expertise to help financial institutions translate AI enthusiasm into tangible business outcomes while shaping the responsible adoption of AI and GenAI across banks and insurers?

Join our AI Competence Centre and work on influential projects for clients such as ING, Belfius, P&V, Euroclear and SWIFT. You’ll work with top tier financial institutions to help shape their AI agenda; and plan and execute their AI journey. You’ll guide teams in identifying high-value use cases; ensuring all initiatives are aligned with business strategy, ethically sound, and delivering measurable value.

What will you do?

As an AI Strategy & Use Case Lead you will shape how AI and GenAI create real, measurable value for our clients, bridging strategy, technology, and responsible adoption in highly regulated environments.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining an AI strategy and roadmap aligned with corporate goals and target operating models
• Identifying, assessing, and prioritising AI and GenAI use cases together with business and technical teams
• Building business cases for AI initiatives, including value hypotheses, cost estimates, and risk assessments
• Defining success metrics for AI solutions and overseeing measurement and continuous improvement
• Ensuring responsible and ethical AI practices, including bias mitigation, transparency, and regulatory compliance
• Staying on top of AI trends, vendors, and regulatory developments, translating them into concrete implications for clients

Your skills & qualifications

• At least 6 years of professional experience in AI-led transformation within financial services
• Experience in the financial services sector (banking, insurance, or financial market infrastructure)
• Excellent English communication skills and fluency in Dutch or French
• Business and strategic analysis skills, including value modelling and prioritisation frameworks
• Solid understanding of AI and ML concepts (e.g. supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, computer vision, generative models)
• Understanding of data governance, security, and privacy in the context of AI
• Comfortable discussing architecture and technical documentation with engineers, without being a hands-on developer
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills (workshops, coaching sessions, presentations)
• Customer-oriented and outcome-inspired attitude
