Dataroots BVBA in Belgium seeks an AI Strategy Consultant to help clients leverage AI strategically and responsibly. You will lead workshops, translate AI advances into practical business value, and align AI initiatives with client goals across diverse industries.

You will work with consultants on pre‑sales, internal knowledge sharing, and ongoing learning to shape new offerings in this fast‑growing data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Dutch or French is a must.
• Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business needs into data solutions.
• Experience with AI strategy development, roadmap planning and stakeholder communication.
• Knowledge of data governance and its impact on AI efficiency.

The Job

As an AI Strategy consultant, you will combine client and internal responsibilities:

Client-facing

• Drive workshops and strategic discussions to understand how AI can support the business ambitions.
• Educate management and teams on AI’s transformative potential, technical and organizational considerations and risks.
• Lead the identification and development of high-impact AI opportunities, translating cutting‑edge advancements into actionable business use cases that drive real value.
• Advise on the latest LLM developments, emerging technologies and key industry players, ensuring strategic decision‑making is informed by the latest AI innovations.
• Communicate and advise on AI’s business value through compelling narratives, strategic roadmaps and advisory support for leadership and clients.
• Oversee and ensure successful execution of AI projects, managing risk, timelines and stakeholder expectations to maximize impact.
• Align AI initiatives with clients’ broader business strategies, ensuring AI‑driven solutions integrate seamlessly into their operations, innovation roadmaps, and long‑term objectives.
• Drive AI adoption, upskilling efforts and culture shifts, ensuring teams understand and embrace AI responsibly.

Internal

• Support business development efforts, contributing to proposals, pre‑sales engagements and strategic AI consulting to expand market opportunities.
• Take ownership of internal knowledge sharing and training initiatives, ensuring our teams stay at the forefront of AI advancements and best practices.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Problem‑solving & analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into data solutions.
• Customer‑centric mindset: Passion for helping clients succeed, with a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction.

• Fluency in English and Dutch OR French is a must.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama) and their strengths, limitations and practical applications.
• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings and memory architectures for AI‑powered search and retrieval.
• Knowledge of topics like prompt engineering, fine‑tuning and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG).
• Hands‑on experience with SQL and/or Python.
• Understanding of data governance and its impact on (Gen) AI efficiency.
• Ability to translate technical AI concepts into business value.
• Experience with AI strategy development, roadmap planning and stakeholder communication.
• Familiarity with AI adoption frameworks and change management strategies.
• Experience designing and delivering AI training programs, workshops and learning materials for consultants and business leaders.
