Billennium in Belgium is seeking an experienced AI Integration & Enablement Engineer (SAP) to join a strategic utilities transformation program building a next-generation billing platform based on SAP UC4G. You will design and implement AI-powered solutions and integrate them into SAP development and delivery processes.

The role combines hands-on engineering with best-practice adoption, enabling AI-driven automations and a scalable, AI-first operating model across the squad, while promoting

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with AI tools in a software engineering setting.
• Experience with AI solutions like Copilot, Claude Code, code assistants or similar LLM tech.
• Experience applying AI across multiple software development lifecycle phases (requirements, docs, testing).
• Ability to design and implement AI-driven automations and integrations.
• Knowledge of enterprise AI risks and responsible usage.

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced AI Integration & Enablement Engineer (SAP) to join a strategic SAP Utilities transformation program focused on building a next-generation billing platform based on SAP UC4G.

In this role, you will drive the adoption of AI within the squad by designing, developing, and integrating AI-powered solutions that improve delivery efficiency, automate engineering activities, and enable an AI-first way of working. You will combine hands‑on technical implementation with the introduction of best practices, helping the team leverage AI across the entire software development lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities:

AI Integration & Solution Development

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain AI-driven solutions within the squad, including AI agents, automations, scripts, and integrations.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing SAP development and delivery processes.
• Support the implementation of AI-powered workflows that improve engineering efficiency and delivery quality.

AI-Enabled Software Delivery

• Apply AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle, including:
• Requirements analysis
• Documentation
• Testing
• Contribute to solution implementation while ensuring high quality and maintainability.

Squad Enablement & AI Adoption

• Drive the adoption of AI as a standard way of working within the squad.
• Enable team members to effectively use AI tools and workflows in their daily activities.
• Support the team's transition toward an AI-first operating model and ensure knowledge transfer after implementation.
• Develop and promote practical guidelines and best practices for responsible AI usage within the SAP environment.
• Help establish consistent approaches for AI-assisted development and delivery.
• Identify opportunities to increase automation, improve productivity, and reduce manual effort.

Delivery Impact

• Contribute measurable improvements in delivery velocity, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Support the squad in achieving sustainable, scalable, and high-quality delivery outcomes.

Role Requirements:

Required

• Proven hands‑on experience using AI tools in a professional software engineering environment.
• Practical experience with AI solutions such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude Code, code assistants, or other LLM-based technologies.
• Experience applying AI across multiple phases of the software development lifecycle, including:
• Requirements analysis
• Documentation
• Testing
• Ability to design and implement AI-driven automations, integrations, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
• Good understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, risks, and appropriate enterprise use cases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively within cross‑functional Agile teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SAP Utilities, including UC4G, IS-U, or S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
• Experience with system integrations, APIs, interfaces, and enterprise data flows.
• Basic programming skills in ABAP, Python, or comparable technologies.
• Familiarity with modern cloud architectures and enterprise integration concepts.
