Job summary

yechte is seeking a Senior AI Engineer & Agentic Developer to move AI solutions from prototype to production at scale. You will shape architecture, implement MLOps, and advance agentic AI across the organization.

You will work with stakeholders to translate needs into deployable AI products, ensuring governance, security, and observability while coaching peers and reviewing code.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software or data engineering experience, incl. 3+ years AI/ML/AI Ops roles.
• Experience bringing AI solutions to production with reliable deployment.
• Strong Python and software engineering practices (testing, clean code).
• Experience with architecture decisions and coaching team members.

The ideal candidate will combine strong MLOps/AIOps expertise with hands-on agentic AI development, acting as a technical point of contact for the AI team and helping shape the architecture, standards, and reusable components that support the organisation’s wider AI roadmap. The role will focus on delivering AI solutions with tangible impact on core processes such as claims management, fraud detection, and underwriting.Job ResponsibilitiesWork with business stakeholders to turn concrete needs into AI solutions that are used in production.Help data scientists deploy and operate models reliably, securely and at scale.Design and build data and inference pipelines, CI/CD processes and infrastructure-as-code.Implement observability, including logging, monitoring, alerting and model or data drift detection.Partner with Security, Risk and Compliance to build governance and compliance into AI solutions.Lead the development of agentic solutions, from proof of value through to production.Integrate agents securely with internal systems using APIs, tool use/function calling, RAG and robust orchestration patterns.Define evaluation and testing frameworks, including guardrails and red teaming.Review code, coach colleagues and promote sound engineering practices.Advise the Product Owner and Domain Product Manager on architecture, risks, feasibility and sequencing.Challenge external delivery partners’ designs and help prevent isolated proofs of concept and shadow AI.Contribute to AI governance, documentation, technical standards and AI literacy across the organisation.Must Have SkillsAt least 6 years’ experience in software or data engineering, including 3 years or more as an AI/ML Engineer, MLOps Engineer, or in a comparable role.Demonstrated experience bringing AI solutions into production.Experience contributing to technical direction through architecture decisions, code reviews and coaching.Strong Python skills and sound software engineering practices, including testing and clean code.Strong knowledge of MLOps/AIOps, CI/CD, Git, Docker, containers, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.Experience building data and inference pipelines and working with model registries, feature stores, experiment tracking, monitoring and alerting.Experience with the Azure AI ecosystem, including Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, Azure AI Search and AKS.Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Fabric, JFrog/ACR and Microsoft or vector databases.Practical knowledge of agentic AI, RAG, tool use/function calling and orchestration frameworks.Strong communication skills, a pragmatic and results-oriented approach, and the confidence to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.Very good spoken and written Dutch and English; basic knowledge of French.Nice to haveFamiliarity with Copilot Studio, DSPy and semantic caching.Knowledge of security, governance, RBAC, secrets management, data privacy and the EU AI Act.Experience working with Security, Risk and Compliance teams to embed governance into AI solutions.Experience advising product and domain stakeholders on architecture, risks, feasibility and delivery sequencing.Experience challenging and improving designs from external delivery partners.What's great in the job?Great team of smart people, in a friendly and open cultureNo waste of time in enterprise processes, real responsibilities and autonomyExpand your knowledge of various business industriesCreate content that will help our users on a daily basisReal responsibilities and challenges in a fast evolving companyWork at yechteWe are an independent digital consultancy with ambitious goals and a global presence.
