Akkodis is seeking a Medior Mechanical Design Engineer for high value aerospace projects in Belgium. You will design mechanical parts using CATIA V5 and collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams.

You will create and maintain drawings, BOMs, specs, and manufacturing files; support prototype assembly and validation; contribute to process improvement. Fluent French and English are required; a Master’s or Engineering degree in a related field with 2–3 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, Industrialization, or a related field
• 2–3 years of experience or initial experience in mechanical design, aerospace, industrialization, or prototyping is a plus
• Strong proficiency in CATIA V5
• Fluent French and professional English

Responsabilités

• Design mechanical parts and tooling using CATIA V5
• Assess the industrial feasibility of designs in collaboration with suppliers and manufacturing teams
• Create and maintain drawings, 3D models, BOMs, specifications, and manufacturing files
• Provide technical follow-up with suppliers and ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements
• Contribute to the mechanical assembly of prototypes and the validation of developed solutions
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and industrial process optimization
• Collaborate with various project stakeholders and ensure smooth communication across teams
