Job summary

Konvert Interim Geel seeks an Accountant / Financial Controller to join the tight Finance team. You will handle daily bookkeeping and handle month-end closing and VAT obligations, with scope to optimize processes in an international environment.

You will manage invoicing, accounts receivable, master data, and financial reporting, while preparing for autonomous month-end closing and intercompany alignment in the future.

Qualifications

• Experience with monthly closings and VAT compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple entities.
• Fluency in Dutch and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process daily financial transactions.
• Take full responsibility for outgoing invoicing and credit notes.
• Oversee debt collection and follow up on open customer balances.
• Serve as the point of contact for customers on financial and administrative questions.
• Maintain up-to-date customer and financial master data.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and monthly closings, supporting the Finance Manager.
• Coordinate intercompany positions with other group entities.
• Support audits and financial reviews.

Job description

Als Accountant / Financial Controller maak je deel uit van ons compacte en hechte Finance team (bestaande uit de Finance Manager, een AP-verantwoordelijke en jijzelf). Je vervult een brede en verantwoordelijke rol binnen de boekhouding en wordt op termijn verantwoordelijk voor de accurate en tijdige maandafsluiting en wettelijke verplichtingen (zoals BTW, ICV en Intrastat).

In deze internationale omgeving krijg je volop de ruimte om processen te optimaliseren en mee te groeien met onze organisatie.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden:

• Financiële verrichtingen: Verwerken van dagelijkse financiële transacties.
• Facturatie: Eindverantwoordelijkheid over de totale uitgaande facturatie en creditnota's.
• Debiteurenbeheer: Volledige opvolging van inkomende betalingen en openstaande klantenbalansen.
• Communicatie: Aanspreekpunt voor klanten inzake financiële en administratieve vraagstukken.
• Masterdata: Up-to-date houden van klanten- en financiële stamgegevens.
• Rapportage & Afsluit: Ondersteuning bij BTW-aangiftes en maandafsluiting, met het doel dit op termijn zelfstandig over te nemen. Opstellen van financiële rapportages in opdracht van de Finance Manager.
• Intercompany: Afstemmen van intercompanyposities met overige groepsentiteiten.
• Audits: Ondersteunen van financiële en interne audits.

Toekomstige projecten:

• Automatiseren van de betalingsverwerking (o.a. import van B2C-betaalplatformen in SAP).
• Meewerken aan de verdere professionalisering van financiële en administratieve processen (zoals internationale EU BTW-rapportering).
