Job summary

Solora BV is seeking an Accountant to join its Finance Team in Belgium. You will handle end-to-end accounting for a Belgian entity, process payments, monitor balances, and support month-end closings and audits. The role requires BE GAAP knowledge, a accounting degree, and strong communication skills.

As part of a growing energy company, you will work with ERP tools like Exact Online or Odoo and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package and a 39.5-hour week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting/finance.
• Good understanding of Belgian BE GAAP and VAT/corporate tax regulations.
• Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems (Exact Online, Odoo) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Full A-to-Z accounting for one Belgian entity, from invoices to tracking.
• Process payments and monitor outstanding balances with customers and suppliers.
• Contribute to month-end closings, tax returns, and audits.
• Handle accounting for projects using the percentage-of-completion method.
• Serve as the point of contact for the accounting email inbox and communicate professionally.

To support our continued growth, we are currently seeking an Accountant to join our Finance Team.

As an Accountant, you’ll be part of the Finance Team and report directly to the CFO. Together with your colleagues, you’ll contribute to the team’s efficient and high-quality operations in a versatile, end-to-end role.

Your key responsibilities:

• You’ll be responsible for the full A-to-Z accounting for one of our Belgian entities, from entering purchase and sales invoices to tracking them
• You will process payments through our online payment system and actively monitor outstanding customer and supplier balances
• You’ll play an active role in month-end closings, tax returns, and audits
• You will handle the accounting for projects using the percentage-of-completion method
• You will serve as the point of contact for the accounting email inbox and communicate professionally with customers and suppliers
• hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting/finance
• have already gained relevant work experience in a similar role
• have a good understanding of Belgian accounting legislation (BE GAAP) and tax regulations (VAT and corporate income tax)
• are proficient with Excel; experience with Exact Online, Odoo, or another ERP system is a plus.
