Amista in Mechelen is seeking a hands-on accountant to strengthen our international accounting team. You will contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual closings across group entities, and support consolidation and reporting for management.

You should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accountancy, have relevant international accounting experience, strong Excel (pivot, lookups) and be fluent in Dutch and English. SAP experience is a plus and there is flexibility to work from home regularly.

• Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes across group entities.
• Prepare and support financial reporting for management and group consolidation.
• Support day-to-day accounting activities, including AP/AR, GL and reconciliations.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency and timely processing of financial information.
• Contribute to the financial integration of newly acquired companies into Amista's accounting processes.
• Participate in Finance improvement projects, such as process optimisation and reporting quality.
• Work closely with colleagues across the organisation and entities.

About your job

We are strengthening our accounting team with a hands‑on accountant who combines solid technical skills with the drive to grow in an international, fast‑moving group environment. You will be a key member of the accounting department and based at our Mechelen headquarters, reporting to the Group Accounting Manager.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Contribute to the monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes across different group entities
• Prepare and support financial reporting for management and group consolidation
• Support day-to-day accounting activities, including AP/AR, general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency and timely processing of financial information
• Contribute to the financial integration of newly acquired companies into Amista's accounting processes and systems
• Participate in Finance improvement projects, such as process optimisation, systems improvements and reporting quality
• Work closely with colleagues across the organisation and our different entities

Do you recognize yourself?

We are looking for someone who combines a solid accounting background with a hands‑on mindset and the ambition to continue developing within an international environment.

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accountancy
• Relevant accounting experience, within an international or multi‑entity environment, or as a file manager for mid‑sized companies within a large accounting firm
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and working confidently with larger data sets
• Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems; SAP experience is a plus
• Comfortable working with and quickly learning new digital tools and reporting systems
• An accurate and structured way of working, combined with a pragmatic, hands‑on mindset
• Eager to learn and motivated by a growing organisation where there is room to help shape processes and ways of working
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French and/or German is a plus

Your main place of work will be our headquarters in Mechelen, where you will work closely with the Group Accounting Manager and the rest of the Finance team.
