The curious life of an Account Manager (Mechelen or Ghent)
If you love a challenge and want to work in a creative environment, our B2B creative agency is exactly where you want to be. As our new Account Manager your job is to understand the client's world well enough to know what they actually need. Someone who connects the strategic dots between their business challenge and what we create for them.
What you'll be doing
On a surface level, you will:
Take the calls. Write the proposals. Chase the approvals. Build the decks. Connect with your clients. Run the workshops. Manage the timelines. Watch the budgets. Prep the meeting. Present the work. Defend the work. Rework the work. Land the work. Celebrate the work.
On a deeper level, you will:
- Listen very – very – closely. To clients, for what they're not saying and what they actually need. To the creative studio, for what's realistic and what's being pushed in the wrong direction. And to your gut, for what's missing and what deserves a second look.
- Speak very – very – openly. You work shoulder to shoulder with strategists, creatives and project managers. If something's off, you say so. If something could be sharper, you push for it. You care about the outcome just as much as the studio does.
- Think very – very – sharply. When there's a new opportunity on the table, you find the angle that makes it click and put together something that's hard to say no to. And when your client takes that thinking upstairs and it lands? That's the job done properly.
Who you are
- You've done this before. Five years in an agency or B2B environment, give or take. International campaigns, branding, sales enablement, account-based marketing... You're familiar with the toolkit and you know how to use it.
- You speak the language. In English, always. In Dutch, ideally. In whichever other language gets you closer to the client, even better. And when getting closer means getting on a plane, you're already packing.
- You hold the degree. In marketing, communications, economics or psychology. Though we care more about how you think than what your diploma says.
- You see the potential. In your clients' accounts, in the relationships you build, but also in yourself. You have ambitions and you're not shy about them. Neither are we. You see yourself stepping into a leading role and you're already quietly working towards it.
- You know where you're going and you bring people with you. You communicate clearly and know how to get the best out of the people around you. You keep track of what everyone needs, but you never lose sight of the end goal.
How we support you
At BBC, you own your work. That means the freedom to experiment, test new tools and try things that haven't been tried before. On top of that, we actively invest in curiosity through our BBC Academy, Club Curiosity, talks and conferences. There's always something worth learning here.
In addition, we offer:
- A solid package: A competitive salary that reflects your experience, combined with a comprehensive benefits package. Payflip cafeteria plan, hospitalization insurance, meal and eco vouchers, a net expense allowance, a laptop, smartphone + subscription. Work-life balance thanks to flexible hours, extra vacation days and ADV days.
- Some nice extras: Yearly BBC weekend, Inspiring Brand Days, a yearly day of charity work, creative after works, shared daily lunches and, of course, regular drinks on the sunroof terrace. Plus, you'll be working from our inspiring office, just a short walk from the station.
