Job summary

Zoos SA in Adelaide seeks a hands-on Works Officer to maintain safety, presentation and functionality across Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Safari Park. The role offers autonomy within the Assets & Maintenance team, performing maintenance, repairs, carpentry, fabrication and site services on a five-day roster.

You will contribute to exhibit improvements, infrastructure upkeep and visitor facilities, while adhering to WHS practices and working with a team dedicated to conservation and high standards of

Qualifications

• Demonstrated maintenance/operational experience
• Ability to undertake broad range of tasks with minimal supervision
• Commitment to WHS and safe work practices

Responsibilities

• Undertake reactive and preventative maintenance across animal exhibits and visitor areas
• Repair fencing, painting, paving, carpentry-type tasks
• Assist with construction, fabrication, welding and installation work
• Construct and maintain animal enrichment items and infrastructure
• Operate vehicles and equipment with appropriate licences
• Respond to maintenance requests and support day-to-day operations
