Job summary

Downer is seeking a Zero Harm Coordinator to support its Water division in South East Queensland. This developmental role offers exposure to regional safety governance, learning programs and improvement initiatives across major infrastructure programs.

You will work with regional teams, safety leads and client partners to strengthen safety culture, drive data-informed decisions and help deliver practical safety solutions while building a path toward Zero Harm Advisor opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Working regularly from regional offices and client sites to support safety initiatives.
• Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE systems and processes.
• Coordinating regional safety programs and improvement projects.
• Assisting learning teams, inductions and capability-building activities.
• Monitoring training, competency and compliance systems for quality.
• Supporting audits, inspections and governance reviews.
• Analysing safety performance data and generating insightful reports.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and standardise tools.
• Providing regional support to operational teams with practical safety solutions.
• Partnering with project teams to strengthen safety outcomes and performance.
