Job summary

Durri Aboriginal Corporation Medical Service (ACMS) invites a community-focused suicide prevention education worker to serve youth 12–24 years across the Macleay and Nambucca Valleys. The role involves collaboration with schools, service providers, and government agencies to reduce suicide attempts and build community resilience.

You will promote wellbeing, strengthen local networks, and contribute to culturally safe education programs across Durri’s footprint.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build relationships within Aboriginal communities.
• Strong networking and engagement skills with youth (12–24 years).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with diverse partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver culturally appropriate suicide prevention education.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to provide tailored services within the Durri footprint.
• Develop and implement community education programs on wellbeing and resilience.
