Job summary

Aruma is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our Children’s Services in Cairns, QLD. You’ll help young people aged 5–18 in residential care feel safe, build trust and develop confidence through school support, life skills and recreation.

You’ll form genuine relationships, support independence and resilience, and collaborate with families and therapists to create stable, nurturing environments that help each young person thrive.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care) highly regarded.
• First Aid and CPR knowledge.
• Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current driver’s licence and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Build genuine, trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Support school, life skills and recreation activities.
