Job summary

STEPS Group Australia is seeking a vibrant Student Support Facilitator for the Get Set for Work program in Nambour. The role supports young people aged 15–19 who are disengaged from school or employment transitions into work or further education.

You will work 20 hours per week (Mon–Thu, 9:00am–2:30pm) as a 12-month contract, partnering with a Trainer to help participants build confidence, skills and work readiness, and to connect with local employers and services.

Qualifications

• Must have Australian work rights.
• Valid Open Driver Licence.
• Working With Children’s Check (blue card) is required.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support young people aged 15–19 to overcome barriers and achieve goals.
• Collaborate with the Trainer to support participant learning and progress.
• Provide one-on-one support and mentoring.
• Assist with resume writing, job applications, interview prep, and life skills.
