Job summary

Department of Education – Barwon Downs VIC invites applications for a Youth Programs Officer (YPO) in the South-West Victoria Region, School Performance Division. This VPS4 full-time fixed-term role runs until 19 November 2027.

The YPO will co-manage the exemption from school applications, support schools with policy compliance, and advise regional leadership on outcomes. The role can be based at any SWVR office location and requires collaboration and proactive stakeholder engagement to drive

Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Co-manage exemption from school applications and process related correspondence.
• Liaise with schools, TAFEs and RTOs on exemption requirements.
• Provide advice to senior regional leadership on application outcomes.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to support reform projects and youth pathways.
