Job summary

YMCA South Australia is seeking a Youth Parliament Program Coordinator to support planning, delivery, and review of the flagship Youth Parliament and Junior Parliament Programs. You will advocate for youth, coordinate engaging activities, and ensure the program stays on schedule while supporting staff and volunteers.

The role focuses on empowering young people aged 15-25, building parliamentary understanding, and connecting youth voices with decision makers across communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with Young People
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
• Problem solving and solution-making ability
• Current Driver’s License
• RRHAN-EC Masterclass – Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education & Care
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

Responsibilities

• Support planning, delivery, and review of Youth Parliament and Junior Parliament Programs
• Advocate for youth within communities and engage with politicians and decision makers
• Develop and deliver safe, engaging activities and keep programs on schedule
• Support staff and volunteers to complete tasks and ensure program outcomes
