A Tasmanian government department is seeking a professional to assess the risks and needs of young people referred by the police and courts. This role involves case management and participation in youth diversion programs within a restorative justice framework. Candidates must hold a current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People and an approved Allied Health qualification. The Team Community Youth Justice Services (South) provides an assertive outreach model of practice, partnering with young people to improve outcomes. There is an exciting range of opportunities, working alongside passionate colleagues and stakeholders, within a holistic, child-centred framework.
As part of a restorative justice practice framework and subject to the statutory provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1997, assess the complex risks and rehabilitative needs of young people referred by the police and the courts, participate in youth diversionary programs and case manage a caseload of identified clients on legal orders.
