SchoolHouse is partnering with the Department of Youth Justice to recruit a Youth Justice Teacher for a Western Sydney centre. The role is full-time, temporary 12 months with view to ongoing, commencing ASAP, with small class sizes (3-6 students with an SLSO).

The ideal candidate will hold relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Education), current NESA accreditation and WWCC, and the ability to register with the Department of Education.

School Profile:

SchoolHouse isworking in partnership with aGovernment Department of Youth Justice. The YouthJustice Centre is committed to equity of educational opportunity for all – “A Chanceto Learn”. It caters to boys’ aged 15-21 years, who are part of a remandfacility. They present diverse backgrounds and experiences, with some havingsome form of mental health, disability and/or behavioural disorder. There is ahigh turnover of students, with most staying less than 3 weeks, and a portionremaining for over 12 months.

Requirements:
