Job summary

Parramatta NSW Department of Communities and Justice seeks a Youth Justice Caseworker for the Specialist Support Unit. The role focuses on young people at risk of extreme violence and involves assessment, case management, and collaboration with government and non-government agencies.

The position is temporary full-time, with ongoing training, supervision, and opportunities to develop skills in complex case management and multiagency work within Youth Justice NSW.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualifications in social work, welfare, psychology, criminology, education or related field.
• A current NSW Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
• A valid Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Screening, referral, engagement, assessment, and case management of young people at risk of extreme violence.
• Provide staff consultation, support and training across Youth Justice NSW and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain networks with multidisciplinary staff, families and partners to support delivery of services.
