The Queensland Government is seeking a Court Coordinator to represent the Director-General in youth justice court matters and to advise and consult with departmental staff to promote high standards of court services for courts and clients.

The role includes pre-court preparation, risk assessment, stakeholder liaison, post-court advice, system improvements, and participation in management discussions, training, and professional development.

Responsabilités

• Undertake comprehensive pre-court preparation in accordance with procedures and court quality benchmarks, including conducting and assisting others to conduct necessary pre-court interviews.
• Conduct assessments of risk factors, identify early intervention opportunities, make appropriate referrals, and consider written material to formulate confident court submissions.
• Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders including Magistrates, Judges, legal representatives, police, Community Justice Groups and community organisations to ensure quality court services and outcomes for young people and families.
• Provide post-court advice to young people, families, stakeholders and youth justice staff, and comprehensively completing post-court documentation and case notes.
• Maintain office systems and contribute to new systems development related to court matters for efficient management of court appearances, outcomes recording and trend monitoring.
• Participate as a member of the youth justice service centre management team and contribute to strategic planning, reviews and key decision-making.
• Provide a consultancy role for departmental staff and stakeholders on youth justice court matters, including mentoring staff and delivering local training and quality assurance materials.
• Undertake professional casework and restorative justice tasks as required.
• Actively participate in continuing professional development activities to improve contributions to organisational goals, including training and accreditation processes.
