Job summary

Central Coast Local Health District (NSW Health) seeks an Eating Disorders Early Intervention Clinician to provide specialist assessment, education, consultation, and care coordination for children and young people with eating disorders across community, hospital and mental health settings.

You will work with families, carers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care, support recovery and build local services’ capability to identify and respond early.

Qualifications

• Required qualifications and registration or eligibility for registration within Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, or Dietetics.
• Experience with children, adolescents and families with eating disorders or complex mental health needs.
• Strong clinical assessment, care coordination, and consultation skills in multidisciplinary settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment, intervention, consultation, and care coordination for children and adolescents with eating disorders.
• Deliver education, support, and evidence-based treatment guidance to families and healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with inpatient units, mental health services, and community providers to ensure seamless care.
