Job summary

City of Hobsons Bay invites applications for a Team Leader Youth Development to guide a dedicated team delivering youth programs, events and initiatives for young people aged 12 to 25. You will work within the Youth Services leadership team to drive inclusive programs that meet evolving community needs.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in relevant fields, substantial leadership experience, strong youth development knowledge, and the ability to build diverse partnerships.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Community Development, Psychology, Recreation, Arts or a related discipline.
• Significant experience leading teams within youth, community or human services environments.
• Strong knowledge of youth development principles and Child Safe Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of youth professionals to deliver high-quality youth programs and services.
• Manage the planning, delivery and evaluation of youth programs, events and initiatives across the municipality.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with schools, community organisations and local stakeholders.
• Ensure services operate safely, effectively and in line with youth work best practice and Child Safe Standards.
• Oversee budgets, grants, reporting, communications and continuous service improvement activities.
