Job summary

Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC seeks a Youth Development Officer to lead the youth response at Ripley, delivering living skills, vocational and recreational programs for young adults in custody. You will help plan activities, coordinate engagement strategies, and tailor support plans to individual needs within Marngoneet's Ripley unit.

Successful candidates will have relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in youth work, and hold a current Victorian driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and facilitating activities for young adults.
• Ability to coordinate and deliver youth-focused programs in custody.
• Forensic/correctional environment experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and organise services and activities for young adults in custody.
• Coordinate engagement strategies to meet individual needs.
• Assess needs and provide guidance and coordination for youth support.
