Job summary

The Department of Justice is seeking a Youth Development Officer at Ripley within Marngoneet Correctional Centre to engage young adults in custody through living skills, vocational and recreational programs.

You will develop individual support plans, assist in coordinating day-to-day operations, and work as part of the Ripley team to promote positive outcomes and safe, rehabilitative experiences for young people.

Qualifications

• Experience developing programs for young adults and youth offenders.
• Experience delivering living skills, vocational skills, sport and recreation activities.
• Experience working in forensic and/or correctional environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and organise services and activities for young adults in custody.
• Coordinate engagement strategies for young adults in custody.
• Assess needs and provide guidance and case coordination.
