Job summary

The Ted Noffs Foundation is seeking an Alcohol and Other Drugs Worker to join the Palm Youth Rehab Program in Caboolture. This full-time role supports young people aged 13-17 with serious AOD-related challenges within a residential, multi-disciplinary setting.

Key duties include supervising residents, facilitating sessions, liaising with families, and promoting a safe, trauma-informed environment. The role requires relevant qualifications and a commitment to harm minimisation.

Qualifications

• Must have current QLD Blue Card and Driver's Licence.
• First Aid Certificate required.
• Experience working with young people and substance use issues preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day household operations and residents' activities.
• Provide information and support to residents and families during the program.
• Facilitate group sessions under supervision.
• Maintain a safe, harassment-free environment.
• Support care plan implementation for residents.
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training.
• Work rotating shifts including day, evening, night, sleepover and weekends.
