Job summary

The Department of Education Victoria invites applications for a single Teacher 1 FTE position at the School for Student Leadership in Dinner Plain, VIC. This residential program supports Year 9 students from across Victoria, offering immersive learning and leadership development in a unique setting.

As a classroom teacher, you will deliver lessons, assess progress, and collaborate across teaching, student wellbeing, and outdoor education activities in a 24/7 residential environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy requirements.
• Experience planning and delivering high-impact teaching that supports student growth.
• Ability to monitor and assess student learning using data.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and colleagues.
• Willingness to undertake after-hours duties as required by residential program.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program delivery.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related duties as directed by the principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings and camps.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
