Job summary

We’re looking for an experienced Yardperson who wants a stable, long-term role in a supportive and well-run environment.

About the role

This is a hands-on role responsible for all aspects of our timber and hardware products, ensuring orders are prepared accurately and on time (and supporting receiving, storing and dispatching)

• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Operating a forklift safely and efficiently
• Organising and maintaining stock in the yard
• Serving customers and supporting the wider team
• Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised work environment
• Following all health and safety procedures

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Experience in a timber yard, hardware or warehouse environment
• A current forklift licence (essential)
• Strong understanding of safe manual handling practices
• Physical capability to handle repetitive lifting and yard work
• A reliable work ethic and commitment to showing up and getting the job done
• Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
• MR (medium rigid) or HR (heavy vehicle) licence
• Knowledge of building materials and timber products
