Job summary

RB Global is seeking a Yard Staff member in Geelong to handle the receipt, display preparation and sale-day support for consigned equipment. You will drive, inspect, and move equipment, perform basic maintenance, manage keys, operate forklifts, and ensure safe, orderly auction day operations with strong customer service for internal and external customers.

Role involves signage setup, turning equipment, basic assembly, and basic upkeep of RBA-owned gear.

Responsibilities

• Receives/releases (checks-in/checks-out) consigned equipment for auction.
• Uses an auction listing to line up equipment for display prior to auction.
• Drives/operates heavy and light equipment.
• Performs facility inspections (per checklists) and provides housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary.
• Performs basic maintenance on RBA owned equipment.
• Manages keys for equipment.
• Operates forklift to load/unload stationary row equipment.
• Basic assembly of equipment i.e. dozer blades, etc.
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment.
• Sets out signage, flagging, and trash receptacles for auction day.
• Drives sound truck.
• Holds ‘This item for sale sign’ (stick person).
• Places operators in rolling stock.
• Parks sold equipment on the ramp.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Good customer service to both internal and external customers.

• The Yard Staff safely receives, processes, lines up, sale day support and check-out consigned equipment for the auction. Strict adherence to the Ritchie Bros. standard of customer service is always expected of the Yard Staff
