Job summary

Dahlsens Family Group of Companies is seeking a friendly, energetic all-rounder to join our Smithfield team. You’ll assist customers at the counter, pick and pack orders, load goods and help wherever needed in a busy hardware environment.

The role involves assisting trade and retail customers, loading stock, operating a forklift, and keeping the yard safe and tidy. Five days a week, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. A current LF forklift licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Provide friendly, efficient service to trade and retail customers.
• Experience safely loading, unloading and looking after stock.
• Ability to lift and manually handle goods safely.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders.
• Commitment to safety of self and team.
• Current LF forklift licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lend a hand across the store and counter sales as needed.
• Provide efficient service to customers in the yard.
• Safely load/unload building materials and stock.
• Operate forklift and equipment safely.
• Pick, prepare and stage customer orders accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard environment.
• Support stock movements, replenishment, and housekeeping.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
