Job summary

Johnson Bros Mitre 10 Mona Vale is seeking a motivated Yard Hand and Forklift Operator to support our busy trade and retail yard. You will help pick/pack orders, stack timber and garden products, and ensure safety in a fast-paced yard.

Applicants should hold a forklift license, be physically fit, and able to work well within a team. Prior yard or building products experience is a plus; successful candidates will join a growing, award-winning family business.

Qualifications

• Forklift license required.
• Physically fit for manual handling and lifting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily targets.
• Able to work well in a team and support yard operations.
• Previous yard or timber/building products experience is useful.

Responsibilities

• Assist in picking and packing customer orders.
• Stack timber, concrete and garden products in the yard.
• Maintain safety standards in the yard.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Perform general yard duties as required.

Yard Hand and Forklift operator

About the Role

As a Yard Hand in our busy Trade centre, you'll play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our busy trade and retail yard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Picking and packing customer orders
• Stacking timber, concrete and/ or garden product
• Maintaining safety standards in the yard
• Loading and Unloading trucks
• Performing general yard duties as required
• A valid forklift license
• Physically Fit
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work as part of a supportive team
• General knowledge of timber and building products
• Previous experience operating a forklift or in a similar yard role preferred
