Labourforce is assisting a client at St Mary’s to recruit a Yard Hand with a forklift license for day shifts. The role involves manual handling of timber, loading/unloading trucks, and preparing materials for dispatch, with forklift duties as needed.

Training is provided and immediate availability is preferred. The position offers competitive pay at $36.83 per hour plus penalties and overtime, consistent Monday–Friday hours, and a temp-to-perm progression with a national timber distribution

Qualifications

• Valid Forklift License (experience not required).
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Reliable, punctual and motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Basic math skills for measuring orders.
• Experience with power tools (advantageous).
• Own reliable transport.
• Ability to commence immediately.
• PPE: Steel cap boots and hi-vis clothing.

Yard Hand – Forklift Operator | St Mary’s | AM Shift
$36.83 per hour + penalties | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | National Leader in Timber Distribution

Our client, a leading national supplier of frames and trusses, is expanding their team at their St Mary’s site. They are looking for motivated and reliable Yard Hands with a Forklift License to join their growing operation. No forklift experience is required – training will be provided!

The Role:

As a Yard Hand, you’ll play an important part in the day-to-day running of the yard. Duties include:

• Manual handling of timber and wood products
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Preparing and measuring materials for dispatch
• Forklift operations (when required)
• Using basic power tools
• General yard and housekeeping duties

Please note: This is a hands-on, physical role with regular manual handling – you will be required to work both on and off the forklift.
