  • Assist with sourcing, delivery, and inventory of stores, spares, and supplies.
  • Carry out basic repairs, preventative, and emergency maintenance as directed.
  • Complete accurate record-keeping and logbook entries as required.

Job description

Pacific Tug Group is a family-owned and operated Australian company providing marine services including Sea Towage, Salvage, Harbour Towage, Dredging Support, Transhipment, Project Support, Technical Services, and Land-based Logistics.

We are seeking a proactive Yard Hand to join our team at the Pacific Marine Base, Murarrie. This role supports logistics, vessel operations, and maintenance activities across our marine base.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake dogging duties to support lifting operations.
  • Operate and maintain plant, equipment, and vehicles within licence and qualification limits.
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and facilities remain safe, functional, and well-presented.
  • Assist with sourcing, delivery, and inventory of stores, spares, and supplies.
  • Carry out basic repairs, preventative, and emergency maintenance as directed.
  • Complete accurate record-keeping and logbook entries as required.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Construction Industry Safety Card (White Card)
  • First Aid & CPR Certification
  • C Class Driver’s Licence

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Basic Rigging (RB) ticket
  • Crane licence (minimum CN)

Other requirements:

  • Enthusiasm, reliability, and good organisational skills
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
