Job summary

Sims Limited in Rocklea, Brisbane is seeking a motivated Yard Hand to join our busy outdoor team. You’ll help process, sort and move recyclable materials, load vehicles and operate basic mobile plant under guidance. This hands-on role suits someone who values safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process, sort and handle recyclable materials.
• Load and unload trucks and customer vehicles.
• Learn to operate forklifts, excavators and other mobile plant equipment.
• Conduct general yard maintenance and housekeeping.
• Support site operations and material movements.
• Follow safety, environmental and operational procedures.
• Identify hazards and contribute to a safety culture.
• Provide great customer service to customers, suppliers and transport operators.

What you’ll be doing?

• Processing, sorting and handling recyclable materials
• Loading and unloading trucks and customer vehicles
• Learning to operate forklifts, excavators and other mobile plant equipment
• Conducting general yard maintenance and housekeeping
• Supporting site operations and material movements
• Following all safety, environmental and operational procedures
• Identifying hazards and contributing to a strong safety culture
• Providing great customer service to customers, suppliers and transport operators
