Job summary

WesTrac is seeking a dynamic Workshop Supervisor to lead the New Machines Workshop in Newcastle, NSW. The role focuses on safety, quality, productivity and delivering customer-ready equipment, while coordinating resources and schedules with technicians and operations leaders.

You will develop a high-performing team, foster a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced heavy equipment environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading teams in a workshop/maintenance/heavy industry environment.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental practices.
  • Proven ability to coordinate resources, schedules and priorities.
  • Sound problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience driving performance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Workshop Supervisor | Heavy Equipment & Maintenance Operations

WesTrac is seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor to lead our New Machines Workshop, driving safety, quality, productivity and team performance while ensuring new Caterpillar equipment is assembled, commissioned and delivered to the highest standards. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily workshop operations, coordinate resources and workflow, and ensure build schedules and customer commitments are achieved.

Working closely with technicians and operational leaders, you will develop and support a high-performing team while fostering a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional operational and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and develop workshop employees to achieve operational objectives
