Permanent Full Time $68K - $71K per annum + Allowances + Super

Council is seeking mechanics to assist in the day to day activities involved in the maintenance and repair of Council’s fleet within Council’s Workshop. This position will perform maintenance tasks including inspection and servicing of heavy plant and equipment, trucks and light vehicles, fault diagnosis and rectification of faults on site. The successful applicant will have substantial relevant experience in undertaking repairs, maintenance and working with heavy earthmoving plant and machinery and the ability to implement and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program for all fixed and mobile plant.* At times this position will be required to assist at other workshop locations within Council, for leave cover and/or workloads.

MANDATORY:

  • Min imum requirement of a current MR driver’s licence
  • Relevant Mechanical Trade Certificate
  • General Safety Induction for Construction Worker (White Card)
  • HR drivers licence and/or Forklift ticket (Desirable)
  • Understanding chain of responsibilities with knowledge of NHVR(Desirable)
