Job summary

Aston Advantage is seeking a Mechanical Fitter with hydraulic experience for a permanent on-site role in Welshpool, WA. This hands-on position involves fault-finding, dismantling and rebuilding hydraulic cylinders, pumps and components used across mobile cranes and heavy equipment.

Experience in hydraulic repair and crane-related machinery is highly regarded. You will work in a workshop setting, with a typical Monday to Friday schedule and opportunities for occasional Saturday work.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Fitter with practical experience in hydraulic systems, cylinder repairs and mechanical overhauls.
• Must be confident diagnosing faults, dismantling and reassembling components, and working independently without constant supervision.
• Crane, heavy equipment or hydraulic repair experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul hydraulic cylinders, pumps and components in a workshop setting.
• Diagnose faults, dismantle and reassemble equipment and restore functionality.
• Perform varied workshop-based repair and maintenance tasks, with potential Saturday work.

Job description

Opportunity: Know your way around hydraulics, cylinders and heavy equipment? Join an established workshop repairing and rebuilding hydraulic cylinders, pumps and components used across mobile cranes and tower cranes. This is hands-on work for a fitter who enjoys fault-finding, pulling equipment apart, finding the problem and getting it working again.

Experience: Mechanical Fitter with practical experience in hydraulic systems, cylinder repairs and mechanical overhauls. Must be confident diagnosing faults, dismantling and reassembling components, and working independently without constant supervision. Crane, heavy equipment or hydraulic repair experience is highly regarded.

Benefits: $50–$52/hr | Permanent position | Monday to Friday, 6am–3:30pm | Varied workshop-based repair and maintenance work.

Extras: Saturday work may be available as demand increases. Looking for someone reliable, hands-on and ready to take ownership of their work.
