Bells Diesel Repairs is seeking an experienced Heavy Road Transport Mechanic to work across our Lytton workshop and Brisbane sites, with your own fully equipped service truck and the flexibility of workshop and field service. Top rates are paid based on experience and ability.

You will perform heavy vehicle servicing, diagnostics, electrical work, and breakdown repairs with autonomy in a modern Brisbane workshop. Overtime is available for those who want it.

Bells Diesel Repairs is looking for an experienced Heavy Road Transport Mechanic who takes pride in their work and wants to be treated like a tradesperson — not just another number.

This isn't a role where you'll spend every day stuck in the same workshop.

You'll have your own fully equipped service truck, a mix of workshop and field work, plenty of variety, and the autonomy to diagnose problems and get the job done properly.

The role

You'll be working across our Lytton workshop and customer sites throughout Brisbane, maintaining and repairing heavy road transport vehicles.

Your work will include:

• Heavy vehicle servicing and preventative maintenance

• Diagnostics and fault finding

• Engine, cooling and fuel system repairs

• Brake and suspension repairs

• Clutch and driveline repairs

• Electrical diagnosis and repairs

• Trailer servicing and repairs

• Onsite fleet maintenance

• Breakdown diagnosis and repairs

• Completing service records and job documentation

• Identifying additional repairs and communicating findings clearly

We work with established fleets throughout Brisbane, so we're looking for someone who understands that quality workmanship, communication and getting the job right the first time matter.

Who we're looking for

We're not looking for someone who needs to be watched all day.

We're looking for an experienced mechanic who can be given a job, diagnose the problem, make good decisions and get it sorted.

You'll ideally have:

• Australian recognised Heavy Vehicle / Heavy Road Transport / Diesel Mechanic qualification

• Strong experience working on trucks and heavy road transport equipment

• Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability

• Confidence working independently in the field

• Experience with onsite and breakdown repairs

• Good mechanical and electrical knowledge

• Current manual driver's licence

• Strong attention to detail

• Good communication with customers and the workshop team

• Pride in your workmanship

• A practical, common-sense approach to repairs
