Job summary

LEVRAM Heavy Diesels is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Melbourne team for a mix of field service and workshop work. The role requires a minimum of 3 years post-trade experience on trucks or earthmoving machinery and hands-on diagnostic skills.

You'll work on a variety of heavy equipment, perform servicing, breakdowns and repairs, and maintain service records while upholding safety standards. A HR+ licence and White Card are desirable assets.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Certificate III or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience working on trucks or earthmoving machinery.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with engines, driveline, hydraulics, braking and cooling systems.
• Confidence working independently, particularly on field service and breakdown jobs.
• Current Australian driver's licence (HR or above highly regarded).
• White Card, or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Reliable, self-motivated attitude and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers and earthmoving machinery.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Attending breakdowns on-site and roadside.
• Identifying potential mechanical issues before they become major problems.

LEVRAM Heavy Diesels is looking for an experienced and reliable Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Melbourne's South East, offering a combination of field service and workshop work across Greater Melbourne and surrounding areas.

We're looking for someone with at least 3 years' post-trade experience who is confident diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and working independently from day one.

About the Role

You'll work on a variety of trucks, trailers and earthmoving machinery, handling everything from routine servicing to complex repairs and on-site breakdowns.
