Job summary

JLE Group Manufacturing & Hire based in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Workshop Fabrication Supervisor to lead our fabrication team in delivering structural steel, skids and related assemblies. You will ensure drawings, specs and quality requirements are met while maintaining safety and production schedules.

You will mentor apprentices, coordinate workloads, and work closely with Engineering and Project teams to optimise workshop performance and profitability.

Qualifications

• Welding & Fabrication Qualification required.
• Electrical licence is current.
• Construction White Card current.
• Proven supervisory experience in workshop/manufacturing.
• Leadership and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise fabrication team to ensure on-time project completion.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop.
• Mentor apprentices and emerging tradespersons.
• Plan and schedule fabrication tasks to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Project teams to optimise workflow.
• Maintain fabrication records and traceability.
